Sunscape is a magazine designed to transport readers to a tropical escape. Through vibrant visuals and compelling storytelling, Sunscape creates a sense of retreat, offering a break from the rush of everyday life. The magazine invites readers to immerse themselves in serene, ocean-inspired imagery, drawing inspiration from the warmth and beauty of a tropical aesthetic.

In this project, I focused on developing a cohesive editorial design system, ensuring a seamless integration of text and imagery to craft a dynamic yet unified magazine. Each section is defined by bold headline spreads, offering clear structure, while the use of white space, varied layouts, and thoughtful typography placement contributes to the magazine’s visual flow. Additionally, I explored innovative image processing techniques to enhance the tropical atmosphere, ultimately creating a publication that provides both comfort and creative inspiration.

I experimented with black-and-white photography that evokes a retro aesthetic, paired with a minimalist layout designed to draw readers into the visual narrative.

By employing techniques such as strategic use of white space, balanced typographic hierarchy, and careful image placement, the design enhances the immersive experience, allowing the photography to take center stage and convey its full emotional impact.

Each report experiments with different text placements and layouts, from spacious designs to bold image presentations, allowing visuals to play a central role. This approach enhances the storytelling, creating a dynamic interplay between text and images that enriches the reader's experience.
